Song of Intense Sadness

[Verse 1] May the sorrows of all beings Fall upon my shoulders And may they gain the joy and virtue That I've been blessed to know [Verse 2] This human life, so rare and precious A chance to hear the Buddha's words My guru's wisdom lights the path Am I not fortunate, I wonder? [Verse 3] Yet I ponder on my actions Have I practiced what was taught? Or wasted time in worldly pursuits? This thought stirs winds of sadness [Verse 4] Though I've received the sacred dharma I question if I've honored it Have I lived up to this precious gift? Or let its essence slip away? [Verse 5] But wait - the dharma teaches clearly All things are empty, yet connected This wisdom, from my guru's kindness Brightens my mood, despite all [Verse 6] For what remains of this existence May I embody dharma's truth May my guru's compassion guide me To benefit all beings [Verse 7] This precious life, a fleeting chance To practice dharma, to transcend May all beings meet a noble teacher And flourish on the path to end all suffering [Outro] (Instrumental fade to end)
