In shadows cast by envy's bitter gaze, Where hearts once bound now twist in jealous flame, A poison spreads, in clandestine displays, And love, once pure, now bears a tainted name. With eyes of green, it festers and it feeds, On seeds of doubt and fears that slowly grow, It chokes the roots of trust with vile deeds, And sows discord where harmony should flow. Yet in this darkness, lessons can be found, For jealousy, a mirror to our soul, Reveals the wounds that lie beneath, unbound, And begs for healing to make broken whole. So let us face this demon, fierce and bold, And banish jealousy with love untold.
