The Stalk

[Intro] The echoes of a barking dog bounce, a pebble on these suburban homes. Dawn the color of basil, crickets still somewhat cricketing, yet here I stand— understanding; admiring, atop your porch. [Verse] The moon is dimly gleaming in the sky, evanescently shining, slowly fading to make way for the day-to-be. I can only see & hear and think & dwell, but I imagine that I can feel something as well. [Chorus] I imagine that I feel out a memory, swelling with emery, and connect.
