Christian Planetary Pledge

Christian Planetary Pledge I hold the belief that God loves me and that he provides me with grace, and that is reflected in my actions by doing the right thing. I hold that God does not need me to seek the destruction of our planet, in order to accelerate the coming of the end times. I pledge to join the chorus of Christians who wish to ensure we do not sacrifice the sustainability of our planet and accelerate its destruction so Jesus can return sooner rather than later. I pledge to think about my impact on the environment. Through my behaviour, my influence, and my voting rights. And will not use this planet as a sacrificial lamb for my life to come. I pledge not to use the fact that there is evil in the world to actively seek its ruin through my words, influence, actions and voting rights. I hold that I will not be easily swayed by those who seek to align with the church, only to bend its perception for the sake of greater or ongoing profits. I pledge that if a certain politician, political group, or organisations align themselves with the church and the bible. I will assess their intentions, and question whether they are using Christianity as a platform to manipulate the Christian population for their own ends or those of their political donors. I pledge that while God is in control, we still have free will, and he wants us to make good choices for ourselves and others. Amen [End]
