I find myself on a road through an old mountain pass The cobblestones are fading, the golden leaves drift past This journey has taxed me and vexed me, it's woven complexly into my soul But unless I keep moving, there's a pain needing soothing, I must keep myself whole I will walk and I will climb I will swim and I will dive I will leap over fallen trees for all time On this journey This never ending journey I've got a notion in my heart, some call it a quest I don't need to be a winner, I don't need to be the best When the victors are vanquished and the champions die When none are left standing, there you'll see I Because bodies do wither Your bones do shiver And hither consider the strife This road has no end and thrash as you can We still have but one dying life Not me Not me!
