Sunbeams

Sunbeams gleam down upon my dreary dream One dreams theme upon another changing scenes Dark clouds lifted as twisted relentless mouths are silenced in my mind Heart now gifted for it has persisted endless bouts of timeless grind I know the dark, I know the cold I know my heart, I know my soul I've traveled through the valleys Darker and deeper than seas beneath galleys Shadows cast so long the light is gone But I carried on though the pain unbearable Somehow I managed to bear the load Day and night an endless battle Pray and fight the road I traveled No end in sight, how can I know? Until I decided to do battle with the pain By simply sitting in the rain Till it slowly gave way with time And once again the light began to shine Upon my heart, body, and mind
