The bases are set up like a square, and the batter's gotta touch them in order: first base, second base, third base, and then back home to score. The fielding team tries to stop the batters from scoring by getting them out. When three outs happen, the teams switch places. If it’s tied after nine innings, they keep playing extra innings until someone wins. The field's got these foul lines, kinda like invisible boundaries. Inside is fair territory where the action happens, and outside is foul territory, where things get a little messy. The infield’s where the bases are, and the outfield’s way beyond that.
