Odious Footsteps

No chance, no spray Can mask the scent that feet display If only soap had washed the stench away Alas These toes of mine, they reek more every day Tell me, can this foul odor be ignored? Oh woe, oh plight Perfumes and powders have lost the fight Through socks and shoes, they wreak their blight Accursed This fragrant doom, oh cruel, unkind decay My plea, for sweet relief, do scents afford? Oh fate, be kind, these pungent woes abate Deodorize, or I succumb to fate When friends draw near, retreat in hurry’s sway Alas My funky curse, they run from in dismay can feet betray a heart that beats so pure? Despair, dismay, my nostrils under siege Each step I take, pungent as Roquefort cheese Oh cruel jest of nature, this rank bouquet Distress Foul demons of my soles, to banish thee I pray Unwelcome is their aura, none may endure Pungent plots, each shoe's my crypt entombed Odors rise, as if to their own doomsday croon Bathing in vain, these feet, their foulness brewed Regret How fate conspires, in damp, in sweat consumed Must I on lonely roads, by olfaction doomed?
