Train To Scotland

They say you make a list of what you want But lists tend to overwhelm me As I realize I can check off everything But that just shows me I have no bounds to be sad anymore Maybe it’s the aftershock Or just my failure to move on Regardless I want to be in Scotland For reasons which make no sense We always drive for what we don’t have I’ve been desperate ever since Every place I seem to go Dissipates inside my mind Mnemonic or not I lose my train of thought So bring me back when I am happy Because I just wanna sleep right now I’m starting to forget I’m sentient And crave intervention But the sky here isn’t gray I just need to be where I feel safe Bur through years of testing and trying I know there is no such place So bring me back when I’m not lonely Because I just wanna sleep right now And the world’s not out of reach
