Verse 1 In the desert sands so wide, We wander through both day and night, With Moses leading, staff in hand, Toward the Promised Land so grand. The sun beats down, the path is long, We cry out for a place to belong. "Why have you brought us here to roam, When Egypt was our distant home?"
