The raven [SSC3 POETIC CHALLENGE]

[Instrumental intro][Cello][whispers] (Nevermore) Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary, Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore (Nevermore) [short musical interlude] [verse][dramatic] While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping, As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door. "'Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door Only this and nothing more" [short musical interlude] (Nevermore) [verse 2][dramatic] Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter, In there stepped a stately Raven of the saintly days of yore Not the least obeisance made he not a minute stopped or stayed he; But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door - Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door Perched, and sat, and nothing more [beat drop] [chorus] Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door Perched, and sat, and nothing more [short musical interlude][electric guitar] (Nevermore) [Bridge] Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore, "Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou," I said, "art sure no craven, Ghastly grim and ancient Raven wandering from the Nightly shore.
