Flurry

Whenever there's a flurry I find that I will scurry To see what the weather man will have to say For when I'm in a hurry I can't take time to worry If my plans will have to wait another day In this world I take the time to see what each day has in store So my plans will not be cut short in surprise For I know the plans that I have made and what those plans are for And I can't afford to get to far behind. When I am in your presence I've learned to sit in silence To hear the words that you might speak to me There is no greater present Than to know that I have been sent And your word determines all that I will be Serving you is more than doing things and reading in your word It's more than praise and worship time each day When I wait silently to hear your voice, I know you can be heard In a still, small voice that guides me all the way I want to hear your voice calling out my name. I want to sense your touch in my heart. Lord help me wait on you. Help me not be moved. So you can place your peace in my heart. So now when I’m in a flurry in my life I will not scurry I will wait to hear the still, small voice of God And I won’t have to hurry. I won’t have to doubt and worry. He will place his perfect peace down in my heart. For I know the plans you have for me are always for my good No matter what the circumstance may bring I know that if I wait on you my strength will be renewed And my spirit will arise on eagle’s wings I want to hear your voice calling out my name. I want to sense your touch in my heart. Lord help me wait on you. Help me not be moved. So you can place your peace in my heart
