[Verse 1] The Lord doth long to show His grace, On high He waits with patient face, To pour compassion from above; A God of justice, full of love. How blest are they who seek His ways, And long for Him through all their days. [Chorus] O hear His voice, both soft and clear, "This is the way, My child draw near." His light shall shine, seven times bright, And heal our wounds with holy might. [Verse 2] Zion's child, Jerusalem's heart, No more shall weeping be your part. At your cry's sound, He'll gracious be, His answer swift, your spirit free. Though bread of want and water's strife Have been the portion of your life. [Verse 3] Your Teacher, hidden once from sight, Now stands revealed in glorious light. Your eyes shall see, your heart shall know, The One who guides where'er you go.
