Dragons and Maiden.

(Verse 1) From blackened peak, a dragon soared, With scales like night, and eyes that poured A molten gold, a fiery sight, Upon a land bathed in moonlight. (Verse 2) Below, a maiden fair did dwell, With hair like spun gold, and a voice that held The secrets of the ancient trees, A melody upon the breeze. (Chorus) Oh, the dragon's heart, it beat so wild, For this mortal fair, this gentle child. He shed his fearsome form, and came, A knight in all but name. (Verse 3) They met beneath the silver moon, A love forbidden, yet a boon. He shared his wisdom, old and deep, She, her laughter, secrets to keep. (Verse 4) But whispered words and envious eyes, Led to a plot, a web of lies. The maiden's heart, it turned to greed, And the dragon's love, began to bleed. (Chorus) Oh, the dragon's heart, it beat in pain, Betrayed by love, and trust in vain. He took to skies, his wings so wide, But not before his last tear dried. (Bridge) The maiden's triumph short did last, Her riches gone, her beauty passed. The dragon's treasure lost to time, A tale of love, and cruelest crime.
