The Lonely Bunny

In the silent woods, beneath the moon's soft gleam, There wanders a bunny, lost in a dream. Its fur, a shade of silver, shines in the night, Alone it hops, bathed in pale moonlight. Through shadowed glades and whispering trees, It seeks companions, but none it sees. The stars above, they twinkle and sway, But for the bunny, it's just another lonely day. No playful bounds, no laughter heard, Just the echo of its own soft word. In solitude, it roams, yearning for a friend, Hoping loneliness will soon meet its end. Yet in the silence, a promise lies, That one day, under the vast skies, Another soul, gentle and true, Will join the bunny, its loneliness through. Ears droop low, eyes filled with sorrow, In a world where there's no tomorrow. Through fields of flowers, it roams alone, No warm burrow to call its own. But hark! A rustle in the grass, A friend approaches, skipping fast. Another bunny, bright and kind, Together, solace they do find. In each other's company, they thrive, No longer lonely, they're alive. For in the meadow, love does bloom, As together, they chase away the gloom.
