Where I’d Rather Be

It’s that time of year again, Where the cowpokes ride in, On horses and bulls and shiny new trucks, Just lookin to make an extra few bucks, I see them and I laugh, neath this ole cowboy hat, Cuz the Calgary Stampede, lord it sure ain’t for me, Nah, I’d rather be, Riding the reins in the pourin down rain, Sittin and sippin feelin no pain, Tellin ole stories by that ole campfire, Singin off key, goin higher and higher, Yeah, that ole Calgary Stampede, lord it sure ain’t for me, Nah, I’m right where I wanna be. Yeah I see em all standin in line, To pay for a seat in that centre stage light, Wastin it all with no bull in the fight, But for the glam and the glory they’re hopin they might, I laugh and I grin as the clouds roll in, Thankin the lord that that show ain’t for me, Nah I’d rather be.
