I am so much better than you I’m a hero for breaking your pattern Before, I wish I knew whatever was the matter Thinking I could heal you thinking you want to be good Now I know it’s not my role not something that I could (do) Cause I know you know exactly what you’re doing And my happiness and wellness is not what you were pursuing You’re a week flying pig not worth the dirt that you stand on You are so much less than nothing makes it easy to a band on everything that you are and everything that you believe After everything you taught me there has been no time to grieve Now I’ll pretend you are ded Makes it easier to live Knowing my own worth and standards Knowing what I have to give So thanks, I guess, for teaching me thanks for helping me see what it means to be evil and what I don’t want to be Being able to choose different is a strength and a bliss and even though I came from you I’m gonna tell you this You’re not allowed to be proud of me not allowed to say my name the only thing you should be feeling is regret and grief and shame You can’t call yourself a parent you can’t say that we’re related Cause my strength and my values are not what you created What you created was fear and anxiety and panic When you acted like a god though you really were satanic You tried to scare us with violence tried to control our every breath Tried to make my every action be ’bout eternal life-or-death Tried to teach us about heaven and to scare us with hell Imprisoned us in dread way too frightened to rebel I had to fight to dare to live to ever know what I was feeling Had to sweat and to slave for years just for my healing Now I know who I am and I have come so far And finally I see clearly what a monster you are
