So let the chimes sound off for Christmas While I'm drifting in the haze If the high gets much too grave Then my blurry sight's gonna find a twisted way Now the can shakes in my hand And my thoughts just can't expand But the lights, they twinkle, cast a spell As I'm lost within this chemical carousel The tree may stand so tall and bright Yet I'm fading in this silent night In this snowy scene, I should find delight But it's hard to feel when nothing's right My mind's been kidnapped by a silver haze Frosty the snowman's in a daze Jingle bells rock while my vision sways And I'm sliding down a duster-glazed sleigh In the midst of joy, I feel the frostbite Of a habit stealing away the merry night I'm breathin' in this frost, but feel no cold The colored lights blur into stories untold Reflections of yuletide, they don't pierce my shield When the white snow's a desert to the high I yield Now the carols, they sing, don't reach my soul I'm numb to the warmth, this duster's stole
