[Verse 1] Behind, the barren miles fade bespeck'd with footprints we have made along the way we've trodden from one waypoint to another. Ahead, I fairly faint to see the scene laid out in front of me - A path past final milestones, through deadly vales no further. [Chorus] Can it be true? Have we arrived? Has our project somehow survived the valley which has claimed the life of so much innovation? Comparing briefly, yes, it seems the further of the two extremes of wasteland lies behind us, so with much anticipation [Verse 3] We embark upon the final steps out of the valley, leaving death, we sally forth to start the climb, ascending now with confidence that we'll not be waylaid. A ragtag company of misfits building toys for greater learning, All this time we've been sojourning, busking, passing hats, and yearning For the fabled scroll holding the spell "Laborers Paid."
