In grandeur's glow (Sodom's fire) Where mortals bask in fleeting grace None could divine their fall Rise and fall of gods' own ire (Gomorra's fate) As choirs lament, and time erases Opera voices, their warning toll In lavish halls (veiled desires) Kings and queens, their fates intertwine Hubris seeds the spirals of downfall Tales of splendor, to ashes they burn (ruin's embrace) As fortunes fade, and empires crumble Sorrow's song, the past to mourn O' marble gates (Shattered stones) Now stand in silence, nature reclaims Ghosts of glory lost to time Monuments to pride (Dust to dust) Pillared high, yet doomed to wither As the earth reclaims her prize
