I'm a Daughter

I am simple. I am stubborn I grew up on a hill I’m the product of my mother and my father’s damn all, Will They watched me grow I watched them too Did they know then that all they did, I would do? They wanted the best for me and did their utmost best to give me a better life than what life had given them All the things they said and did. All the little things. Those little things I’d later repeat in the world either fortunate or be it grim I have the humor of my mother God knows it’s pretty crude. I have the passion for cars from my father and long to have something to cruise I have the patience of both of them combined… that isn’t all that much I’m definitely not a baker or a mechanic I don’t have any skillful touch. They stayed together through thick and thin and through those worst of days I remember neither would give up and a little peace would sometimes fade I learned that from watching them I give too many chances because that’s all I know I’m my mother’s daughter in resilience I’m my father’s daughter in not letting all pain show.
