Verse 1 Listen to my words, O Lord, hear my heart's deep cries. In the morning, you will hear my voice as my prayers rise. I lay out my plea at dawn, watch and wait for You, King and God, it's to You alone, I make my appeal true. Chorus You are not a God who delights in wicked ways; Evil finds no home with You, through all our days. The arrogant won't stand before Your searching eyes; You despise all who embrace lies and disguise. Verse 2 Guide me in Your truth, O Lord, make my path clear. Amid my enemies, Your righteous way steer. Their words are graves opened wide, deceit they breathe; Their tongues are smooth, but destruction they bequeath. Bridge Hold them guilty, O God, let them by their plots fall; In their many sins, cast them out, once and for all. They rebel against You, their hearts turned to night; Let their own devices lead them from Your sight.
