Lyrics

[Verse] Get on up It's time to move your feet I got a dance that's gonna make you feel the beat It's called the Funky Chicken Let me break it down Just watch me now I'll show you how [Verse 2] You start with a little wiggle A funky little groove Then you flap your wings and you bust your move Shake your tail feather Let the rhythm take control Once you're on the floor You won't be able to let go [Chorus] Everybody do the Funky Chicken (ooh yeah!) Shake your body Feel the rhythm and keep kickin' (ooh yeah!) It's a dance sensation Gonna take you to the sky Come on now Let's groove and let's fly (ooh yeah!) [Verse] In the decade of beats where the music was king The dance floor was lit with the sixties swing First came the Twist A hip-shaking craze Chubby Checker’s hit set the world ablaze [Verse 2] Next in the line was the Mashed Potato A groovy step that really did go Stomping the ground with every beat Dancers mashed potatoes with their feet [Chorus] Dance through the sixties Twist and shout From the Loco-Motion to the Monkey Jump about Every tune has a move to strike In the decade of dance What’s not to like?
