Thoughts Unravelled

In shadows deep, where thoughts unravelled lie, I sit alone, with heavy heart and tears, Each word I write, a whisper of goodbye, No happy ending to disperse my fears. The ink runs dry, like echoes of the past, And sorrow grips me tight, too strong to last. I chase the words that slip away too fast, Dive deep into the well of thoughts untold, Yet swirling doubts and memories amass, In darkness where my heart lies still and cold. No glimmer of hope shines through the dense mist, Just sadness that my soul cannot resist. The letters form, a silent angry fist, A poem of despair, a mournful wail, My pain and grief on paper firmly kissed, As all my dreams and wishes start to pale. No solace found in verses I create, Just emptiness and sorrow, sealed by fate. So here I am, alone and desolate, In the aftermath of love’s cruel end, No rescue from this tortured mental state, No comfort from the pain that will not bend. I write my final lines, a bitter blow, As thoughts unravelled, leave me here below.
