Whispers in the wind, rumours start to spin Fingers point my way, but they don't know what to say Truth gets lost in noise, facts become a ploy In the court of public opinion, there's no judge or jury Presumed innocent, that's how it should be But the world's quick to judge what they think they see Accusations fly, but they can't touch the sky Of my clear conscience, standing tall and free Paper trails and lies, tears in people's eyes Searching for the truth in a maze of half-truths System's meant to protect, both victim and suspect But sometimes innocence is hard to detect In time, the truth will rise Like the sun that never dies Justice isn't blind, it just takes time To separate the real from the lies Innocent until proven, that's the golden rule In a world of snap judgments, we must keep our cool The truth will have its day, that's all I can say Presumed innocent, come what may
