If one can draw a line on water If one can take the moon from the sky Maybe you can mend the difficult fate And you can return to what is now past [interlude] Every new twist in the story, may it culminate in celebration But how is it hard to survive, the expanding web of destiny [interlude] Who directs this theater play Who spins the stories Who knits the fabric of universe Who puts the poor human being, to survive in the midst of stormy waves [interlude] And when the story is over Who writes the finishing line Who is smart enough to say It is over when it is over [interlude] For it is over when it is over And it rings in my mind And every past word Resounds with too much power [interlude] Who keeps this going Is it madness or wisdom But it is too much to take Too much to be a human fate
