Underneath the Ocean Deep

Underneath the ocean deep, where sunlight fades, Live the creatures in their sleep, in coral glades. Whales that sing a mournful song. Someday I will take a breath, and swim on high, Leaving bubbles in my wake, against the sky. Where the sunbeams pierce the blue, With the dolphins swift and true, that's where I'll be too. Underneath the ocean deep, where sunlight fades, Schools of fish in swirling shades, a dazzling parade. If the playful dolphins dance where sunlight gleams, Why, oh why can't I fulfill my ocean dreams? Shimmering beneath the waves, in castles made of sand, Mermaids weave with ocean caves, a magical land. Dreams of dancing with the tide. Someday I will learn their ways, and speak in coral tongue, Following the ocean's sway, the mysteries unsung. Where the currents softly flow, With the creatures down below, their secrets I will know. Underneath the ocean deep, where sunlight fades, Sharks and eels in graceful sweeps, a hunter's serenade.
