Ending Song

One gloomy black and star filled night, When life was sweet and time was ripe. And in my bed I softly laid, And time passed by and seemed to fade. I thought of dreams and love and truth, But most of all I thought of you. I knew the time had come that day, When we would surely part our ways. And walking out the door that eve, My stomach shook and moved and heaved. Trembled hands I held so close, And rhymes of love upon my throat. I loved you so but it was wrong, That simple love did not belong. But questions rose like was I right, And should I speak that fateful night.
