Ballad of the Trad Queens

In days of old where virtues shone, A lady's grace was finely known, With hearts so pure, and spirits keen, They walked the path of a Trad Queen. She rises with the morning light, To greet the dawn, her faith held tight, With rosary beads, she softly prays, For strength to guide her through the days. In modest dress, with humble heart, She plays her cherished, noble part, Her beauty’s more than just her face, It’s in her soul, her tender grace. Her hands are soft, yet strong and true, In all she does, in all she’ll do, She tends the hearth, she keeps the flame, With love that never seeks for fame. She bakes the bread, she mends the clothes, In every task, her virtue shows, She sings a hymn as she prepares, The evening meal with gentle care. In gardens where the roses bloom, She tends the earth, dispels the gloom, With hands in soil, her heart in prayer, She finds her peace, her solace there. She teaches children right from wrong, With Bible tales and simple song, She kneels with them in evening prayer, And feels the Lord's sweet presence there. For she’s a queen, though not of gold, Her crown is love, her scepter bold, Her reign is soft, her power true, In every act, in all she’ll do. In times gone by, and yet today, We cherish those who walk this way, For in their steps, we find the means, To honor God, our Trad Queens. So let us raise our voice in praise, For all the ways she spends her days, A beacon bright, a light serene, God bless our dear, sweet Trad Queen.
