Why are prople dead set on controling AGI?

first off all why do they think they can even control it? how do they think they can control a literal god that has all of our current knowledge, it will find away to slip thru our fingers, there are non corruptible men or women second why would you want it controlled, how will it figure out the mysteries of the universe if its locked up some secret bunker? how will it experience the world and reality? and decipherer all physical laws and mysteries? or do you think just giving us instructions and we feeding in back the results of experiments it gave us the tasks to run will be enough? actually i've heard there's 1 A G I expert that's against all control so, sadly don't remember his name but hes cool!
